In this episode we chat with Kendra of Hoag Road Maker Co, local to Mount Vernon of the Skagit Valley in Washington. Kendra expresses her art through macramé and handmade jewelry, which was born out of the necessity to find a healing outlet after personal tragedy. Through her art she was able to connect with the community in a supportive and loving context, which she hopes to give in return with each interaction. Using textiles and polymer clay, she weaves her life experiences into loving pieces of art that bring beautiful energy into your heart and home. She can be found hopping around Northwest maker markets (dates on her website), spending quality creative time with her family and advocating for mental health through sharing her story on social media.
